Saint Gobain Glass India has displayed a wide range of solar glass solutions at the Delhi International Renewable Energy Conference (Direc) 2010 that was held in Delhi from October 27 to October 29, 2010.
The solar glass solutions provided by Saint Gobain incorporate high-performance glass for CIGS photovoltaic panels, photovoltaics, and solar mirrors for CSP technologies Saint Gobain is developing a plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. It already has a manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. The company is currently the market leader in the flat glass sector and has a market share of 38%. It began production in the year 2000.
The Chief Executive Officer of Saint Gobain Solar, Fabrice Didier stated that India is a key market to invest in solar solutions, because of the skill sets and knowledge and the strong manufacturing potential of the company
