Integrated Electrical Services (IES) has received a key contract from McShane Construction Company to erect solar power production systems, basic electrical structures and lighting for the Macon, Georgia-based, Felton Homes public housing community.
Presently, the housing community is going through a total renovation and installation of green energy infrastructure performed by Macon Housing Authority. The community has received a part of the finance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which it kept aside for the installation of a rooftop solar system. Integrated Electrical Services will install the solar system for the community. On completion of the renovation process, all the homes incorporated with energy-efficient insulating materials for the windows and roofing and energy-conserving equipment will save around 10% on the energy usage.
Michael Caliel, Integrated Electrical Services Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer has called the Felton Homes project as an important solar project benefiting the multi-family residents and said that his company has the required resources, expertise and potential to complete such projects.
