Ascent Solar Technologies, producer of low cost, flexible thin-film solar modules with substrate materials, has chosen Green Earth Energy and Technology to distribute its ultra power, less weight, flexible thin-film CIGS modules for portable power and building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) applications in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The distribution agreement with Green Earth Energy and Technology enables Ascent Solar to enter into numerous sectors of the European solar industry including direct incorporation into building materials for commercial and residential applications. Green Earth Energy and Technology is a distributor of complete photovoltaic systems, solar modules and renewable power technologies for large-scale solar arrays and industrial solar farms.
Farhad Moghadam, President and Chief Executive Officer at Ascent Solar, said that through this distribution agreement, the company would market the other products in the portfolio of less weight, flexible CIGS modules.
