Solar Integrated Technologies, a Germany-based energy conversion devices company and ContourGlobal, a power company, have completed the installation of the patented UNI-SOLAR thin-film photovoltaic modules at four different locations for Coca-Cola Hellenic (CCH) Bottling Company.
The solar modules were installed within the quickest possible time to avail the feed-in tariff benefits for the year.
ContourGlobal, which has invested and integrated the solar systems installation in all the four places for CCH will own and operate the systems. The company has partnered with Solar Integrated and United Solar to meet the low-impact solar PV installation requirement of CCH at its facilities. The patented PowerTilt and PowerPlate products manufactured by UNI-SOLAR utilized in the project have perfectly blended with the roof design of CCH while producing high level energy. The installed UNI-SOLAR power plate incorporates flexible thin-film photovoltaic laminates fixed over an aluminum-zinc coated steel sheet to match the requirements of metal roofs. The patented PowerTilt optimizes the power production efficiency of the modules by 10% to 20% and makes it convenient to install at low-sloped roofs.
All the four installations will in total produce around 3,330 MWh of solar power every year and offset 1,770 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
