Research and Markets Introduces New Report on Solar Power in India

Research and Markets have released, “Forecast of Solar Power in India (2011-2015)”, a report, which gives forecasts of the solar power scenario in the Indian energy market.

According to the report, India ranks fifth in the world in terms of installed generation capacity of energy, being one of the leading electricity generators in the world. Over two thirds of the electricity generated is from fossil fuels, hydro and nuclear power. Currently, its installed electricity generation capacity is 165 MW but it is predicted to go up to 950 MW by 2030. To make this happen, India has to adopt renewable energy sources and it has started to focus on renewables. The Indian Government in July 2009 had declared a 20 MW target for solar power by the year 2022 via the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). With abundant sunshine (300 days or more), solar promotion and investor friendly policies, the Indian Solar Power Sector provides a great opportunity.

This report from Synergysts gives an in-depth analysis about the solar power industry. The report focuses on the different sources of power with predictions up to 2015. The main application areas along with the installed capacity of solar power in India along with a forecast till the year 2015 have been given in the report. The projects, which are being implemented in the different states in India along with future possibilities, are also explained in detail. Porters Fiver Forces analysis along with SWOT analysis are used to determine the factors, which would impact the development of solar power in India. Moreover the profiles of twenty companies with details about their recent activities, project particulars and operational details are included in the report. The policy initiatives introduced in support of solar power, the latest R&D trends in India along with the major challenges, which would obstruct the solar power development are also covered in the report.

The profiles of companies such as Azure Power, Central Electronics, Bharat Electronics, Micro Sun Tech, BHEL, Moser Baer India, HHV Solar Technologies, Photon Solar Energy Systems, Renewable Energy Systems, Punj Lloyd Delta Renewables, TATA BP Solar India, Solar Semiconductor and Sun Energy Systems have been discussed here in the report.
