A-Power Energy Generation Systems, a supplier of distributed power generation systems and a producer of wind turbines, declared that it has contracted a definitive accord valued around US$ 30.5 million with Guangchao Biomass Power Generation, a Xin County-based company, to develop a biomass power generation plant with two units each producing 15 MW clean power. The project is anticipated to commence shortly and will get completed in the middle of 2012.
The proposed biomass power generation plant will be placed in Xin County in the Shandong province of China. A-Power as the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor for the project will be engaged in the designing of the project, and complete the building of power plant. The company will buy two 15 MW pure condensed steam turbine generators, two number of straw-fired boilers with a capability to generate around 75 metric tons of steam per hour, a heat pipeline system, other ancillary equipment to complete their installation and deliver the facility to the client.
The proposed facility when goes into full-fledged power generation will produce around 150 million kWh of clean power every year. The power produced from the facility will be linked to the national power grid of China.
