Unirac, a solar power systems provider from North America, has declared the receipt of ISO 14001:2004 for its Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
Earlier in last November, the company has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification for its Quality Management System (QMS), thus becoming the first solar infrastructure providing company to obtain both the certifications.
Unirac has registered for the ISO 14001:2004 auditing process in the middle of 2010 to prove its maintained standard, followed authenticated ecological plans and handling processes. The certifying agency has performed certification audits during the last quarter of 2010 and in the months of February and March 2010 before issuing the certification in April 2011.
The ISO 14001:2004 certifications indicates that the company manages its wastes through an installed recycling process, exercises smart procedures in the use of energy and materials and sets about for improved used of available natural resources. The company has introduced enough procedures to deal and avert environmental issues and introduces regular improvements in its systems to cut down the harmful ecological issues.
