Research and Markets Releases Report on China Power Sector

Research and Markets declared that it has included a new report titled "China Power Report Q3 2011" to its range of available reports. The report offers details of professional companies and strategists engaged in the business along with details of competitive intelligence and forecasts on power industry in China.

The report prepared by Business Monitor International (BMI) indicates a moderate growth in the production and intake of electric power. The report forecasts that yearly power generation will witness an average 6.5% growth during the period from 2011 to 2015 while the power consumption will grow at 6.4% rate in the period. The report also perceives a reduction in its level of forecasts for consumption due to proposed stringent carbon discharge and energy usage controls. It anticipates that both power generation and consumption will remain in the same level.

The country is anticipated to make giant strides in the solar sector due to increased investments. The National Development and Reform Committee (NDRC) in China increased its solar power output targets to be achieved in 2020. The report anticipates that the new target will be fixed at 50 GW level by 2020 which in turn offer a new and bigger market for solar products manufacturing companies in China compensating the reduction in investments experienced by other developed markets.
