Xunlight, a leader in design, development and manufacture of lightweight and flexible solar modules made of thin-silicon and Trina Solar have entered into a partnership agreement for a 220 KW demonstration project that makes use of Xunlight's solar panels.
According to the terms of this agreement, Xunlight will supply around 220 KW of solar panels through its subsidiary Kushan, China. For the supply of energy, Xunlight will be providing lightweight and flexible thin film silicon solar modules. These solar modules were built in the Kushan facility employing triple-junction thin film solar cells that were manufactured at the 25 MW roll-to-roll solar cell production line in Ohio. Trina has so far received 750 Xunlight XR36 291 W modules, which have been installed at carports and bicycle shelters as part of the ‘Golden Sun’ demonstration project. The solar modules from Xunlight are known for the flexibility feature, which makes them useful in specific light structure environment. The head of Trina Solar’s operations in Asia Pacific and Middle East explained that they were subjecting the solar panels from Xunlight to various testing methods under the open testing platform of China State Key Lab.
Xunlight is a leading manufacturer of lightweight and flexible photovoltaic modules that are mainly used in conversion of sunlight to electricity.
