Earth Friendly Products owns solar panels, which meet 60% of their energy needs. The company has completed the negotiation to buy the remaining 40% from green energy. Thus, the entire production process is made 100% renewable. This project has helped the company to minimize its carbon footprint extensively and to eliminate over 600,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) pollution every year. This achievement is a part of the company’s ongoing sustainable efforts to continue to direct the green cleaning product sector.
Through the purchase of green energy, the company helps to minimize America’s reliance on overseas fuel sources. In addition, it supports the growth of the U.S. in the developing renewable market. The purchase will not impact product pricing and cost to users.
Earth Friendly Products’ sustainability initiatives have not changed or increased the costs of its products. For 20 years, the company has been focusing mainly on green initiatives by offering over 150 eco-friendly cleaning products. Earth Friendly Products has been recognized with many awards for sustainability initiatives and recently it has won the Sustainability Award from Illinois Governor.
