SolarEdge Power Optimizer with its IndOPTM Technology Wins 2012 Intersolar AWARD

The 2012 Intersolar AWARD was presented to SolarEdge Technologies for Innovation in the Photovoltaic category.

SolarEdge Technologies received this award because of the IndOPTM technology featured in the SolarEdge next-generation power optimizer. The IndOPTM technology promotes the application of power optimizers in the market. Solar companies are given the Intersolar AWARD based on their technological breakthroughs and innovative ideas.

SolarEdge developed a set of semiconductor chips used in designing the SolarEdge next generation power optimizer with efficiency, durability, reliability, module-level PV monitoring and increased safety.

Guy Sella, Chairman, co-founder and CEO of SolarEdge, stated that SolarEdge is proud of the recognition it has gained through the development of the SolarEdge next generation power optimizer with the IndOPTM technology. This award according to Sella confirms SolarEdge’s knowledge and belief that right usage of module-level electronics will enhance the company’s status in the market.

Every year the Intersolar AWARD is distributed by a panel of judges in categories that include PV Production Technologies, Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal Technologies. Products from over 3000 solar companies were taken into consideration for the annual Intersolar AWARD.

SolarEdge Technologies, the achiever of this year’s Intersolar AWARD provides PV monitoring and solar power optimization solutions. MPPT is performed for each module as part of the performance monitoring process by the SolarEdge power optimizers.

Full roof utilization, optimal power and flexible design are provided by the SolarEdge system.
