NorthStar's Fast Recharging Blue + Battery Delivers Long Life on Unstable Power Grids

NorthStar's new premium AGM Blue + Battery delivers fast recharging and high PSOC cyclic performance, for long life on very unstable power grids, and impressive fuel savings when used with hybrid telecom power systems.

The Blue + Battery features increased capacity based on the proven success of NorthStar's original Blue Battery. In regions with demanding grid conditions the original Blue Battery survived up to four times longer than standard AGM batteries due to its fast recharge and its capability to operate in partial state of charge (PSOC).The new Blue + can deliver even more power, as well as being the fastest recharging AGM battery on the market.

"The premium Blue technology really shines in demanding telecom applications versus standard AGM batteries," says Thierry Tardivent, Group Chief Marketing Officer. "The Blue electrochemistry makes for a very fast charge, long life, PSOC cyclic battery which is an increasing need in developing markets. We are very excited about it and so are our customers - they are able to multiple their battery life in unstable grid applications or reduce their generator run time and fuel consumption in off grid areas by 75%."

The Blue + has an impressive operating temperature range of -40°F (-40°C) to 150°F (65°C), because of its innovative design and high modulus Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) plastic casing. The Blue + is available in three configurations: 100 Ah and 170 Ah front terminal 12V, and 400 Ah top terminal 2V.

All NorthStar batteries are proudly manufactured in the USA, at state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet the toughest environmental requirements.

"We've built the industry's most advanced manufacturing facilities in Springfield, Missouri," says Thierry. "The Blue + will be produced there using the latest automated robotics technology and environmental control systems, to deliver the best consistency and reliability in the battery industry. That's why so many companies rely on NorthStar."
