China International Waste Management and Recycling Show to be Held Concurrently with China Clean Expo

The China International Waste Management and Recycling Show 2014 by Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo will be held from 31 March to 2 April 2014. The show will be held concurrently with China Clean Expo 2014 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

Since 2004, China has made environmental protection an important part of its sustainable development strategy. The environmental protection industry is the latest sector of the national economy to receive the support of the government. Along with the rapid development of urbanization in recent years, city garbage volume has increased rapidly, and the government has set a goal for the hazard-free treatment rate of urban living garbage to reach no less than 80% nationwide, and 100% in cities by 2015.

During the "Twelfth Five-Year" period, it is estimated that the demand for investment in environmental protection will be double that of the past five years, reaching 3 trillion yuan. The growth rate for the Chinese environmental protection industry will remain at 15% to 20% for a long time, and China will become one of the world's biggest environmental protection industry markets.

The China International Waste Management and Recycling Show 2014 is being launched just as this market begins to emerge. It will showcase technology and products for the environmental protection industry including:

  • Waste processing equipment (Oil and water separation, biochemical processors, incineration equipment, sewage treatment systems, bulky waste crushers, winnowing machines, magnetic separators, balers and other types of waste treatment equipment)
  • Municipal sanitation equipment (garbage collection trucks, garbage transfer trucks, food waste collection vehicles, waste classification and collection vehicles, large refuse collection vehicles, road wash cars, underground pipeline dredgers, road maintenance equipment and services, suction trucks, sweepers, river-sweeping boats, refuse collection compression equipment, trash and other consumable materials and special equipment)
  • Environment and sanitation operations and processing technology (garbage removal, treatment and recycling technology, large waste disposal technology, toxic and hazardous waste treatment technologies, landfill technology, incineration technology, biochemical processing, composting technology, waste transfer and transportation systems technology)
  • Toilets categories (mobile toilets, car toilets, packaged toilets, toilet foam; mobile toilet rentals, toilet design)

High-quality products and waste management solutions will be provided to professionals by Government officials, recycling firms, waste generators, waste services companies, and distributors and dealers from around the world. The show will be held concurrently with China Clean Expo 2014, with an estimated 400 exhibitors, 20,000 visitors and a show area of 40,000 sqm.

The show will no doubt meet the increasing demand in the waste management and environmental protection industry. Meanwhile, it will optimise the process flow, improve processing efficiency, vigorously promote research and development, and contribute to the rapid, healthy and stable development of the environmental protection industry and the cleaning industry as a whole.
