Climate Change Online Media Toolkit Focused on Climate Change Launched by University of Maryland

The University of Maryland, one of the country’s leading climate change research institutions, has launched a new Web site, Research at Maryland – Climate Change.

The site is a media toolkit that provides a comprehensive collection of climate-related resources found at Maryland and around the world, as well as direct access to our internationally recognized experts.

The media toolkit contains:

  • Searchable database of Maryland’s climate change experts
  • Climate change news release archive
  • Quick facts on climate change
  • Links to Maryland’s climate change research centers and initiatives
  • External resource links to top international and national climate change sites
  • A continuous newsfeed featuring the latest climate change news from around the world

The media toolkit was developed in response to daily requests for climate change expertise and information on Maryland’s broad array of climate change centers and institutes. A variety of resources can be accessed through this single site – making it an easy and efficient place to begin any climate change research.

This Research at Maryland site is the first in a series of similar microsites being developed by Maryland. Additional sites focused on other areas of research expertise will be launched in 2009.
