ORGANICS Recycled Leather Introduced by Eastern Textiles

Eastern Textiles has recently introduced the first "recycled leather" product, ORGANICS, to interior design firms, furniture manufacturers and a variety of unique specialty markets in the United States. ORGANICS is made from "post-industrial" leather material and a manufacturing process that improves upon the characteristics of traditional leather. According to Robert Fazekas, President of Eastern Textiles, ORGANICS is fulfilling a need for a material that fits into the sustainable products market while meeting and exceeding the specifications necessary for his customer base.

Specifically, the manufacturing process of ORGANICS consists of a woven polyester center which delivers higher performance strength over traditional leather. ORGANICS leather maintains a polyurethane topcoat offering a protective coating against abrasion thereby making it ideal for the contract upholstery market. ORGANICS is offered in variety of color palettes and is available for delivery in the U.S.

Robert Fazekas brings 18 years of experience in the upholstery industry to Eastern Textiles which he formed in 2005. Eastern Textiles was formed to provide their customers with personal service and a diversified line of products such as leather, fabric, vinyl, thread and foam.
