Inaugural Program with Special Focus on Clean Tech

Nanotech-enabled energy technologies, printable electronics and nanobiotechnology are just three of the many panel topics to be presented at the IBF's 2008 Nano Applications and Advanced Materials Forum that will take place February 5-6 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa at Indian Wells, California.

Now in its 7th year, IBF's Nanotech Forum has become renowned for its unsurpassed networking and relationship building opportunities. The panels, comprised of leaders in their respective industry verticals, will discuss nanotech-enabled technologies in industry verticals that include advanced materials, clean energy, clean tech, life sciences/nanobiotechnology, print electronics and MEMS.

The program will offer a number of keynotes as well, including addresses from luminaries such as Steve Jurvetson of Draper Fisher Jurveston who will speak about "Synthetic Biology - Biology as Nanotech Muse," Tim Harper of Cientifica discussing "Nanotech 10 Years On," Josh Wolf of Lux Capital giving a "Controversial & Contrarian VC View" and Ron Pernick of Clean Edge keynoting "Clean-Tech: The Implications and Investment Opportunities for Nanotech and Advanced Materials."

Alexei Andreev, Conference Chair explained, "Since Harris & Harris Group, Inc., was one of the first firms to recognize nanotechnology as an exciting and promising investment opportunity, it was with great enthusiasm that I accepted the honor of chairing the 7th Annual Nanotech Forum.
