Dreamscapes Sex Toy Recycling Program Gains National Green Certification

Dreamscapes, LLC sets a good example for businesses across the board by demonstrating total commitment to their community’s environmental health and well-being. The Institute for Green Business Certification, Inc. (IGBC) officially certified Dreamscapes, LLC as an environmentally conscious organization on January 31, 2009.

“Dreamscapes, LLC is the first company in the adult industry to achieve a ‘Green Business Certification’ by the IGBC,” confirms Garry Peterson, an Environmental Analyst for the IGBC.

Last year, Dreamscapes, LLC introduced the Sex Toy Recycling Program, enabling consumers to mail in their old, broken or used (but cleaned) adult toys. This program offers an alternate option to reduce the improper disposal of hazardous wastes such as motors, batteries, silicones, etc.

“Our Recycling Program is the first of its kind in the United States. We were able to identify the need and work out a way how we could help,” says Vice-President Jean Kozlowski. “We encourage consumers and businesses alike to take whatever steps they can in hopes of a better environment for the generations of tomorrow. It may be some work in the beginning, but its well worth the efforts.”
