Leicestershire 1.36kW Solar Power System Installed by Evoenergy

Evoenergy has installed numerous solar electric systems including the 1.36kW system in Leicestershire. This solar power system includes eight Sharp solar modules with an individual capacity of 170Wp. These solar modules together provide 1.36kW of peak output. This fulfills 56 percent of the total electricity need of the house. For one year, the solar electric system generates 1,017kWh that helps to reduce 577kg of carbon dioxide emission. The electrical usage of the house is 1800kWh per year.

The house in which the solar power system is installed also features high insulation to avoid the heat loss. The house also uses biomass energy to reduce the natural gas consumption. As the house is located in the central of Leicester that has swirling winds, the application of wind turbine was not suitable. However, solar panel installation was apt because of the south facing roof.

The installation, for the Leicestershire 1.36kW solar power system project, was completed in two days. First, tower scaffold was built for workers to work safely. For attaching the mounting system, steel anchors with foam layer were used. Most of time was spent on fixing the anchors securely on the roof. Later aluminum frame was attached to the anchors. All roof intrusions were sealed by using waterproof silica to avoid water dripping. Finally Evoenergy workers mounted solar panels on the frame. All the wires were kept hidden away from the view. Simultaneously electric work was undertaken inside the house. After the installation, the system was tested before put into actual use.
