Mass Megawatts Wind Power announced that data collected in the past month on its first project with the Augmenter System at Hunter, shows higher than expected wind velocity. Incorporating the Augmenter System, the company had anticipated a 55% increase in the wind velocity, while the data shows over 70% increase in its maiden month of operation.
Revealing the need for further data collection, Mass Megawatts Wind Power stated that in the past couple of months, various levels of wind speed, ranging from dead calm to over 60 mph, have been recorded. Their compass readings also show different combinations in the winds that prevailed in the region. Data collected from these readings averaged to 70%, which was significantly higher than estimated.
