United Solar Ovonic manufactures Uni-Solar photovoltaic laminates that are light in weight. The durability of these laminates is attributed to the encapsulation process in UV stabilized polymers. These polymers are durable ETFE polymers that have high light-transmissive characteristics. The Uni-Solar PVL-68 solar laminate, offered by the company, has a rated power of 68Wp.

The bypass diodes of the Uni-Solar PVL-68 photovoltaic laminate provide good tolerance over shadow. The solar laminate, provided by United Solar Ovonic, features adhesive backing for easy application. The adhesive used in this solar laminate is ethylene propylene copolymer along with microbial inhibitor. The Uni-Solar PVL-68 solar laminate is equipped with by-pass diodes that are connected across each and every solar cell. This PV solar laminate is made of amorphous silicon solar cells that are connected in series. Each amorphous silicon cell of this laminate measures 356 x 239mm.
The Uni-Solar PVL-68 solar laminate is included with four-square millimeter output cables along with DC quick-connect terminals that are weatherproof. This photovoltaic solar laminate is suitable for new roof installations. This PV laminate, offered by United Solar Ovonic, has to be installed when the temperature is between 10 and 40 degree Celsius. This solar laminate can withstand roof temperature of up to 80 degree Celsius. The dimensions of this solar laminate are 2849 x 394 x 4mm, while the weight is 3.9kg. Under standard test conditions, the Uni-Solar PVL-68 solar laminate demonstrated open circuit voltage of 23.1V and short circuit current of 5.1A.
