PNNL Researchers to Exhibit Research at 2013 Energy Innovation Summit

Researchers from the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will exhibit their work at the 2013 Energy Innovation Summit of high-impact energy research funded by DOE's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, or ARPA-E. The summit runs Feb. 25-27 at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. Below is an overview of PNNL research that will be highlighted there.

Enphase Energy Commissions 902 kW Solar Project in Arbuckle, California

Enphase Energy, Inc. today announced the successful commissioning of a 902kW solar project using the Enphase Microinverter System at Strain Ranches in Arbuckle, Calif. The new solar system will power the commercial rice drying and storage of more than 50,000 tons of medium Calrose rice during its annual two-month harvest. North State Solar Energy of Forest Ranch, Calif. managed the installation of 3,760 Enphase microinverters and SolarWorld modules.

ElectraTherm Installs Green Machine at Biogas Plant in Straznice, Czech Republic

ElectraTherm, a leader in small-scale, waste heat to power generation, installed a Green Machine at a biogas plant in Straznice, Czech Republic. ElectraTherm, distributor GB Consulting and biogas plant constructor EnviTec commissioned an ElectraTherm Green Machine to generate additional power and increase energy efficiency on site, and the machine has accrued more than 2,800 hours with greater than 97% availability.

CDTi and Pirelli Partner to Market Emission Control Products for Gasoline and Diesel Applications

Pirelli & C. Ambiente SpA and Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. today announced the signing of an agreement to form a joint venture company to market and sell emissions control products for both gasoline and diesel applications in Europe and the CIS countries.
