NuGen Capital Completes over 10 MWDC of Solar Farm Projects in Massachusetts

NuGen Capital, a U.S. renewable energy investor and developer, announced today that it had completed several solar farm projects in Massachusetts totaling over 10 MWDC power. The four solar farms are located in the towns of Lunenburg, Whatley and Hadley, MA. UC Davis and SunPower Plan to Build 16MW Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plant

Climate Warming Does Not Accelerate Soil Organic Carbon Decomposition Despite Increases in Ecosystem Productivity

The Earth’s soils store four times more carbon than the atmosphere and small changes in soil carbon storage can have a big effect on atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations. A new paper in the journal Nature Climate Change concludes that climate warming does not accelerate soil organic carbon decomposition or affect soil carbon storage, despite increases in ecosystem productivity.
