SunEarth manufactures all copper pool and spa heating collectors under the brand name Oasis pool panels. The panels are offered in OP-32, 0P-40 and OP-48 models with differences in features.
The panels are manufactured using M type copper riser tubes and manifolds. The roll formed copper absorber plates utilized for collecting solar energy are offered in 0.008 in. thickness and the risers with a minimum of ½ in O.D. The M copper tube with 4-1/2 in centers is soldered to the plate at 460º F by utilizing a non corrosive solder paste and brazed to 1-5/8 in. O.D.
Oasis Pool Panels
The joints of this Oasis pool panel offered by SunEarth are soldered utilizing 15% silver and use UV-resistant copper construction. The permanent sweat connections used in the pool panel are water proofed. The high absorber coating used for the solar absorbers increase the absorbing efficiency of the panels. The 0P-40 Oasis pool panel has a width x length measurement of 45-5/8 in. x 117-3/8 in. and a dry weight of 52 lbs. The gross area of this panel is 37.19 sq.ft. The fluid capacity of this panel is 1.6 G; its designed flow rate is 4.0 GPM and can offer a maximum flow of 25 GPM.
The standard header width of this panel is 45-1/2 in. and its standard diameter is 1/1/2 in. The absorber plates are manufactured to withstand a maximum operating pressure of 160 PSIG. At an ideal temperature of 95º F the OP-40 panel outputs a BTU of 35,500.
