ReDriven 20 kW Wind Turbine from ReDriven

ReDriven offers the ReDriven 20 kW wind turbine. This wind turbine incorporates three blades measuring 6 m each and weighs 283 kg. The blades are made of fiber glass material and the blades offer a sweep of 12.4 m². The tower for the wind turbine is available in various sizes starting from 36 m. The Nacelle of this wind turbine weighs 1256 kg.

ReDriven 20 kW Wind Turbine

This single phased wind turbine outputs 240 V 60 Hz voltage power and generates a maximum power output of 20 kW. The ReDriven 20 kW wind turbine starts rotating at a nominal cut in wind speed of 2.0 m/s. The maximum power production is achieved by this wind turbine at 11 m/s speed with a maximum rotor speed of 100 RPM. The sturdy design of the wind turbine allows it to withstand wind speeds up to 40 m/s. For increased safety the wind turbine stops its power production operations when the wind speed reaches 18 m/s. The electric powered active yaw used in this model aids the rotor to face wind line constantly for increased power output.

This wind turbine incorporates a direct drive system for reduced number of components. For efficient stopping of the turbine operations the 20 kW wind turbine offered by ReDriven incorporates a dynamic braking system. This wind turbine produces a maximum of 59 dBA sound at 70 ft.
