ReDriven 10 kW Wind Turbine from ReDriven

ReDriven offers the ReDriven 10 kW wind turbine. This wind turbine is mounted over a hydraulic tower and allows easier installation. For efficient generation of wind power, this wind turbine incorporates three blades and each blade measures 13 ft. The blades are made of fiber glass material for improved strength and increased usage period and weighs 310 lbs. The long sized blades offer a swept area of 26.5 sq.ft.

The Nacelle of this wind turbine weighs 990 lbs. This direct drive wind turbine does not use gears in the operation and use only few moving parts thus allowing easy maintenance. For efficient controlling of the wind turbine operations during tough wind conditions, a dynamic braking system and an electric active yaw control are deployed. This wind turbine is designed to output a maximum power of 10 kW. This single phased wind turbine offers a maximum output voltage of 240 V at 60 Hz frequency. This wind turbine starts rotating its blades at a wind speed of 4.4 mph and produces maximum output current at 200 RPM and 22 mph speed.

For safety, the ReDriven wind turbine stops its blade rotating operations at 40.3 mph wind speed. The design of this wind turbine allows it withstand and survive wind speeds up to 90 mph. This silent operating wind turbine is suitable for use in a normal home, a small-sized farm or a cattle farm and makes 59 dBA sounds at 70 ft. This wind turbine is certified for grid-connected usage and meets UL 1741 requirement.
