Algae.Tec Signs MOUs for Algae Production Technology

Algae.Tec Limited has obtained exclusive worldwide rights towards a highly-efficient algae harvesting as well as growth system named the McConchie-Stroud System that generates algal products including biomass and algal oil, which can be used for producing sustainable bio-fuels.

The company has made the announcements of two MOUs towards non-binding commitments for deploying the technology in Australia and China.

The photo-bioreactors that are crucial to the company’s McConchie-Stroud algae generation technology has been designed for generating four revenue streams, namely, oils for biodiesel production, carbohydrates and sugars for ethanol production, proteins for usage as farm animal feedstock and the carbohydrate and protein biomass which can be combined for producing jet fuel.

Algae.Tec is presently undertaking the initial public offering through the issue of Prospectus for the purpose of stock market listing.  The McConchie-Stroud formulation makes use of a highly-efficient solar energy system as well as low-maintenance technologies for producing algae in land surfaces in comparison to the existing pond method used for algae production. This Algae.Tec system has been designed for delivering the highest algae yield per hectare while the global investment has already crossed $5 million towards the research and development of this particular technology in Asia, the U.K. and the U.S.
