New BioBacksheets from BioSolar Betters PV Solar Module Power Generation

BioSolar Inc, a company known for utilizing bio-based substances for the production of PV solar modules, has declared the availability of bright-white BioBacksheet to meet the growing demand for the product.

The transparent BioBacksheet provided by the company has established its worth in all the short term and long term resilient tests. When the other normal backsheets endured only 1000 hours of damp heat oven exposure test of 85° C at 85% relative humidity the transparent BioBacksheet offered by BioSolar withstood the test for around 3,000 hours.

According to Dr. David Lee, CEO of BioSolar,  the bright-white colored BioBacksheet manufactured by the company is preferred over the other translucent designed solar module backsheets. The Biobacksheets are preferred for its looks as well as for its high-reflectivity properties which improved the power production efficiency of the solar modules. He added that his company has changed the formula of production techniques to accommodate the growing demand for the product without making any pacifying efforts in its design or quality features. He further said that the bright-white BioBacksheet underwent the required industry standard tests and met the requirements of the industry as well as its growing list of customers like any other standard solar product.

Dr. Stanley Levy, Chief Technology Officer of the company, said that the tests not only involve in probing the physical uniqueness of the backsheet but also examined the material it is made of. He added that the procedure becomes necessary when the backsheets are used as a component in the solar PV panels manufactured by other clients. He further said that it will help the clients of the company to submit their modules fitted with Biobacksheets for UL certifications or any recertification procedure.
