VELUX Introduces No Leak Skylight

VELUX, a company which introduced the concept of venting skylights to bring the sun light from the roof to provide natural light and a reactive type of ventilation, has announced the availability of No Leak Skylight.

The No Leak Skylight is actually a restyled product of the company, which underwent changes such as utilizing energy efficient glass and total protection against water seepages from the roof. The No Leak Skylight incorporates LoE3 type of glass for increased energy efficiency, increased light transmittance, enhanced day-lighting and increased heat gain from solar light. The skylight comes with cost effective pre-fabricated white frames and cinctures, pre-installed brackets to facilitate easy quicker installation of shades and blinds. It is designed with a low level roof profile and an improved twisted type of design and offered in neutral grey shades to merge with any roof color. The product is offered with an installation warranty, first of its kind for a roof installed and deck fixed skylight. The No Leak Skylights comes with a 10 year installation warranty in addition to 20 years warranty on glass, 10 years for the total product and 5 years for the blinds and controls offered with skylights.

Timothy B. Miller, VELUX America’s President, said that the new skylights have three layers of protection against water seepage which includes a new gasket that fastens to the roof deck. He added that the new roofing along with the practiced installation methodology of the company and the installation warranty provides total confidence to the users.
