Meritage Homes, one of the leading home builders, has declared that they have entered into a National agreement for using the Echo Solar System, manufactured by PVT Solar along with its exclusive solar solution for all its solar powered communities.
The ground-breaking Echo offers double the energy when compared to other solar electric or PV Systems and would help Meritage to construct homes that utilize 70-80-% less energy in contrast to a standard code built house. The National Agreement was also the first such agreement ever made in the homebuilding sector and it would help the Meritage homebuyers to gain remarkable financial benefits from the Echo’s innovative technology.
According to C.R. Herro, Vice President of Environmental Affairs at Meritage Homes, the innovative Echo would give superior value in solar energy production. He revealed that in 2010, Meritage had decided to utilize Echo in all its 17 energy efficient communities and was heaping great benefits as most of those communities were selling their homes at a rate three times faster than their competitors. According to him, the homebuyers were on the lookout for a holistic solution in sustainability and energy efficiency and with Echo they were able to provide the homebuyers what they wanted. Echo is a total solution for home heating and cooling requirements. Echo’s advanced technology would allow them to use their mobile phones for monitoring their homes and also as a remote control for the thermostat.
Vikas Desai, PVT Solar’s CEO, revealed that Echo gave two times the energy when compared to a basic solar system and also provided fresh air ventilation, which was a major consideration while buying a home. He also mentioned that prominent builders such as Meritage, Shea Homes, and Joseph Carl Homes, to name a few were utilizing Echo to achieve accelerated home sales. The company was proud of the fact that Echo had become a standard for those builders who wanted to deliver the most advantageous clean energy solution to their clients. PVT Solar currently exhibited the Echo Solar System at the International Building Show conducted by the National Home Building Association from January 12-15, 2011 at the Orlando Convention Center.
