China Sunenergy has shipped 1.59 MW solar panels to Emotion Energy for installation as part of the Rooftop project. The rooftop project will provide solar power to 117 houses in Faifley, Scotland.
The reigning fuel poverty issue in Scotland is tackled by the installation of solar panels. The houses that are spending more than 10% of their income on energy on fuel for heating their homes are classified as ‘fuel poverty’ homes.
The PV solar rooftop project allows 117 Knowes householders to receive electricity that is generated by using the abundantly available free solar energy for a period of 25 years. Emotion Energy has joined hands with Edison Energy to install the solar rooftop panels in a record time of two weeks. The system will be ready before the tariff changes take effect, that is, before December 12, 2011. China Sunenergy has been steadily contributing towards reducing the carbon footprint in the UK by providing renewable energy.
China Sunenergy is an established manufacturer of solar cell and module products in China. The solar cells that are manufactured from silicon wafers are built using crystalline silicon solar cell technology. The solar cell technology makes use of the photovoltaic effect for converting sunlight directly into electricity; the solar cells that are manufactured in these ways are then fabricated into solar modules.
