Beijing Olympic National Stadium Insulated by Owens Corning FOAMULAR XPS Insulation

Owens Corning announced that its FOAMULAR(R) XPS foam insulation was used in the construction of the floors, steps and parking lot of the main 2008 Beijing Olympic venue, National Stadium, in Beijing, China, and in other sports stadiums for the Olympic games.

"Our participation in these high-profile projects in China represents our global focus to provide customer building technologies that improve energy efficiency."

Also known as FOAMULAR(R) Metric, FOAMULAR(R) XPS is a polystyrene foam insulation extruded into rigid boards. FOAMULAR(R) XPS has high insulating values, superior moisture resistance and high compressive strength.

FOAMULAR(R) XPS insulation is part of Owens Corning's full line of insulating products that deliver energy efficiency based on 70 years of building science. The product line also includes Owens Corning's PINK Fiberglas(TM) insulation, which saves a significant amount of energy in existing homes and commercial buildings.
