As the fan blade is light in weight, it minimizes the motor resistance for high performance. The corrosion resistant fan blade is canted to offer improved airflow. The motor included in the Solar Star attic fan is a brushless type that has double shielded ball bearings. The motor operates in the range of 1 to 38 volt DC power.
The Solar Star attic fan features a steel housing that is coated with galvanized black powder. The housing features polymeric vent screen that is non corrosive. The solar powered attic fan, offered by Solatube International, includes one piece flashing that offers easy and quick installation. With the flashing, the attic fan can be installed on any type of roof with any pitch. The flashing choices available with the attic fan are low profile, high profile and pitched flashings.
