Precision Floorcrafters Receives Environmental Craftsmanship Award

Precision Floorcrafters was presented with the Environmental Craftsmanship Award by the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) during the annual convention of NWFA in Washington, DC in March 2010.

The award recognizes wooden floors, which exhibit responsible and creative environmental stewardship in the areas of raw material sourcing, installation methods, and/or contributions to the well-being of humans in indoor environments.

Precision Floorcrafters used recycled and reclaimed wood taken from post-industrial materials. The wood floor complied with the parameters set by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) of the United States Green Building Council such as using an adhesive certified by GREENGUARD, utilizing 100%, pure and reclaimed wood from the Forest Stewardship Council and utilizing materials present within 500 miles from the job location.
