Siemens Gamesa has launched a fully recyclable blade that can withstand the rigors of application in an offshore wind turbine. This is a significant step towards the company’s ambition of producing the world’s first recyclable offshore wind turbines by 2040.
Each year, it is estimated that maritime transport releases around 940 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the environment and accounts for more than 2.8% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This article looks at how companies such as Cavotec are reducing shipping port emissions with shore power solutions.
California-based cleantech innovator, Mosaic Materials, aims to create a cleaner future with advanced materials. It utilizes a promising negative emissions technology called a metal-organic framework (MOF) in a proprietary gas separation technology that selectively removes pollutants, such as CO2, from a mixture of gases.
