China Southern Grid EPRI and OSIsoft Enter Agreement to Collaborate on Smart Grid Project

Alcoa and Bauer Enter Agreement to Commercialize Natural Engineered Wastewater Treatment Technology

Alcoa has entered into an agreement with Germany-based engineering and construction company, Bauer Resources GmbH, to commercialize Alcoa’s Natural Engineered Wastewater Treatment technology that mimics natural wetlands to sustainably treat wastewaters. Under the agreement, Bauer will use Alcoa’s engineered wetlands technology to deploy wastewater treatment systems globally.

Brookhaven Lab’s Interdisciplinary Science Building for Energy Research Awarded LEED Gold Rating

The Interdisciplinary Science Building (ISB) for energy research, the newest facility to open at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory, has been awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold rating for being "green." The U.S. Green Building Council awarded this designation for the ISB's energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable design, construction, and operations. The ISB is one of nine buildings at Brookhaven Lab to receive LEED certification.
