Pattern Energy Group declared it has accomplished the construction of Nevada’s first Spring Valley Wind project. It is now fully operational. An inaugural event was held at the 151.8 MW Spring Valley Wind project, marking its beginning of commercial operations. It is based beside the town of Ely.

The Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank of United States has approved a US $32.1 million loan guarantee for export of wind turbine blades produced by LM Wind Power Blades to wind turbine manufacturer, Wind Power Energia based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The loan guarantee is in compliance with the congressional mandate to augment support for export of renewable energy.

Researchers from GE Global Research are collaborating with researchers from the University of Michigan and Ford Motor as part of a three-year program to develop a miniature sensing system to be employed in electric vehicles to enhance battery life.
