Ontario Reaches Peak Wind Power Production

A recent report from the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) indicates that the province of Ontario has reached its all time hourly wind generation output on October 26. Around 9.00 PM on that date the state generated 1,056 MW of power.

Solyndra and Alwitra Conclude Installation of Solar System in a Parts Europe Warehouse

Solyndra, a manufacturer of cylindrical PV systems for large-scale commercial rooftops, declared that its partner Alwitra has concluded installing a 1.02MWp Solyndra solar system with advanced reflective Evalon waterproofing membrane and Solyndra solar panels, in a Germany warehouse located in Konz and owned by Parts Europe, a motorcycle accessories distributor. This system is Germany’s largest Solyndra installation and the second largest in the world.

NRG Energy in Partnership with BrightSource Energy to Construct Ivanpah Solar Facility

NRG Energy via NRG Solar, its subsidiary company, wrote out a letter of intent to be a partner to BrightSource Energy in building, investing, and operating the world’s largest solar thermal project, the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System, which has 392 MW capacity, in Mojave Desert region of Southeast California.
