Micro-Hybrid Technology Set to Cut Emissions and Fuel Use in Cars

The EUREKA E! 3734 i-StARS project is developing a compact, fully integrated and low-cost start-stop system for cars to replace conventional alternators in mass production. This second-generation starter alternator reversible system (StARS) is intended to enable the European automotive industry to meet new EU emissions legislation and significantly reduce fuel consumption without needing to redesign the engine.

KLD Energy Technologies Secures Funding to Increase Speed and Efficiency of Electric Vehicles

Austin-based KLD Energy Technologies, Inc., developers of a high-performance electric motor system technology, announce the completion of a $1 million financing round from a private investment group. The company leveraged the Series A funding to further develop its high-frequency, low RPM, transmissionless motor system designed to increase the speed and efficiency of electric vehicles.

Perfectenergy International Signs 50 MW Solar Sales Contract With Abidas AG

Perfectenergy International Limited (OTCBB:PFGY), a global manufacturer and marketer of customized and standard photovoltaic ("PV") solar cells, modules and systems, today announced that its subsidiary, Perfectenergy (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., has entered into a sales contract valued at more than $150 million with Abidas AG of Germany, pursuant to which Abidas will purchase 50 MW of mono solar modules from Perfectenergy scheduled for delivery over the next four quarters of 2009.
