Pacific Power Management Completed Installation of 500kW DC Solar Electric System for UFP

Pacific Power Management, LLC, announced today that they have completed the design and installation of a 500 kilowatt DC solar electric system for Universal Forest Products (UFP) in Thornton, Calif. The $4.4 million project, which qualified for a $1.1 million solar rebate from Pacific Gas and Electric Company, was dedicated on Wednesday, August 6.

Carbon Neutrality Considered Feasible For California Redevelopment Project

San Diego-based real estate owner American Assets, Inc. announced today that plans for their landmark redevelopment project in Novato, Calif. show that carbon-neutrality could be achieved in less than 10 years, exceeding the performance targets of the 2030 Challenge and marking an important milestone for one of the first such efforts for a mixed-use commercial project in the United States.
