China Hydroelectric Corporation Inks Definite Agreement on Hydroelectric Power Project

Consolidator, operator and developer of small-scale hydroelectric projects China Hydroelectric Corporation has inked a definite agreement for acquiring a hydroelectric power project of 19 MW capacity in China’s Yunnan province. The company also has a pending acquisition of another hydroelectric power project of 44 MW capacity in the same province. The two projects together will enable the company to produce an additional 63 MW of hydroelectric power.

Ontario Comes Up with Numerous Green Energy Projects

As per the feed-in tariff program of the Green Energy Act, the province of Ontario has seen the approval of 184 novel contracts for green-energy projects. Previously, 510 green-energy projects were approved. These projects can together produce over 2,500 MW of electricity, sufficient to run 600,000 homes. These projects will attract private sector investments of around $9 billion. Ontario is known for its solar photovoltaic and wind power capacity.
