Association of Energy Engineers to Receive Renewable Energy Certificates from GDF SUEZ Energy Resources for 2010 Globalcon Conference

The 2010 Globalcon Conference & Expo will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on March 24th and 25th. The Association of Energy Engineers will be provided with renewable energy certificates from GDF SUEZ Energy Resources that matches the electricity consumed at the convention center for the two-day conference and expo. The renewable energy certificates (RECs) supplied by the company are Green-e certified.

European Multilevel Integrated Biorefinery Design for Sustainable Biomass Processing Project Launched

About 28 partners from 14 countries are taking part in the European Multilevel Integrated Biorefinery Design for Sustainable Biomass Processing (EuroBioRef) project. This 4-year project is coordinated by CNRS, France and funding is provided through the European Union’s 7th Framework Program.

The launch of a new website was announced by Ontario Power Authority (OPA), where the suppliers and service providers in the renewable energy technology sector of solar water, solar air, small wind, solar photovoltaic and geothermal can apply to feature in the vendor list. The last date to be included in the website as a vendor is 26th March, 2010. Companies that offer renewable energy services and products to social housing providers and Ontario school boards can be apply to be on the vendor list of this new website.

HWG-400 Marine Wind Turbines Provided by USA Solar + Wind

The HWG-400 wind turbine is a marine model that consists of a combo solar controller. This turbine has a rotor diameter of 1.4 meters. The HWG-400 wind turbine has a start-up and cut-in wind speed of 2.4 meters per second and 3 meters per second, respectively. It generates 400 watts of power at a wind speed of 12.5 meters per second.
