Golden State Biofuel to Locate its First California Refinery in Indio

The city of Indio in Riverside County has been selected by Golden State Biofuel to locate its first biofuel refinery in California. Designed to produce one million gallons per year, this scalable refinery will serve San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, the High Desert and Inland Empire areas.

SunPower and K6 Sign Agreement to Construct Two Solar Power Plants in Italy

K6 S.a.S. and SunPower Corp. have signed an agreement to construct two solar photovoltaic power projects with a capacity of 1 MW each in the Puglia region of Italy. The two solar projects, which are located in Conversano and Casamassima, are planned for completion by August 2010. The power generated from the solar projects will be supplied to local consumers and will contribute to country’s national power grid.
