China Hydroelectric to Acquire Three Hydroelectric Power Projects in Yunnan Province

China Hydroelectric Corporation is set to acquire additional hydroelectric projects totaling 78 MW in Yunnan province with the signing of a definitive agreement for acquiring an operating hydroelectric project with a generating capacity of 44 MW. The company is also proposing to acquire additional two operating hydroelectric power projects totaling 34 MW of generating capacity and has entered into memoranda of understandings for that purpose.

China Solar Power Announces its Third Solar Manufacturing Plant in China

An agreement was signed between China Solar Power (CSP) and Suzhou Industrial Park for the construction of CSP’s third amorphous silicon solar module plant in China. The company is planning to invest up to $180 million to develop this facility as well as for other technology centers. Frank Liu, CEO of CSP, is expecting a production capacity of 200 MW in this manufacturing facility.
