Envertech Enters into License Agreement with Wind Sail Receptor for Patented Wind Turbine Blade Technology

Envertech has entered into a license agreement with Wind Sail Receptor (WSR) to use its patented wind turbine blade technology for manufacturing wind turbines up to 50 kW. When compared with the established wind turbines, the WSR blade design develops higher torques at lower rotational speeds. This feature improves durability and reliability as well as it provides quieter operation. The patented blade design also enables it to operate the turbine over a much wider range of wind speeds.

Ferro Win Grant to Develop Advanced Durability Sealing Systems for Solar Cells

Ferro Electronic Materials, a leading supplier of materials for fabricating photovoltaic solar cells, has been awarded $1 million by the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) to develop advanced durability sealing systems for solar cells. In this project, Ferro will engineer a vitreous frit system to provide reliable air-tight and water-tight seals for second- and third-generation thin-film solar cells. Ferro will collaborate with the Edison Welding Institute, StrateNexus Technologies, and The Ohio State University, all of Columbus, Ohio, in developing, testing and commercializing this new technology.
