Solar Electric Systems supplies the Kyocera brand of solar modules. The KD205GX-LP solar module is designed using multicrystalline solar cells and comprises a total of 54 cells. This solar module generates a power of 205 watts at a maximum voltage and current of 26.6 volts and 7.71 amperes, respectively. The short circuit current and open circuit voltage of the solar module are 8.36 amperes and 33.2 volts, respectively. eSolar, a leading concentrating solar thermal power technology company, and Ferrostaal AG, one of the largest developer of power plants in the world, announced a collaboration to install turnkey solar power facilities in many countries including South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and Spain. Under the terms of agreement, receiver technology and solar field will be provided by eSolar and power block will be supplied by Ferrostaal. In addition, Ferrostaal, as a general contractor, will take care of all other activities including financing.
